Indy Tech Stack understands the challenges that small businesses and startups face. We hope we can help your company with some of its Salesforce.com needs.
Marcus Wadell is the founder of Indy Tech Stack, which provides Salesforce.com services to small businesses and startups that don't yet have the internal resources or expertise to properly set it up and maintain it themselves. Marcus has over a decade of experience in the Salesforce ecosystem and has seen thousands of business processes on the platform at some of the largest companies in the world. His clients range from venture-backed startups to Fortune 500 companies including Carvana. In addition to his work with SaaS operations work, Marcus has a passion for songwriting and music production - releasing music as Cradle Cat and writing over 50 commercial jingles, audio logos, and audio UX sounds for companies including Dominos Pizza.
Indy Tech Stack started as a way to fill a gap for businesses that are just starting their digital transformation onto Salesforce.com, but can't yet justify the budget for a full-time internal resource. In Marcus's time in the SaaS tech world, he repeatedly saw these problems for small companies and startups moving onto Salesforce.com:
Companies task an internal employee with taking on Salesforce work when they don't have any experience in the ecosystem and don't know best practices
Saleforce work is outsourced to a larger consultancy company, whose prices are inflated due to necessary overhead for business that size
Salesforce is never properly setup due to a lack of expertise, invesment, and training - leading to a decrease in productivity on the platform and, ultimately, a failed implementation of Salesforce.com
His time in the Salesforce.com world uniquely positions Marcus to help companies currently in that awkward place of a "just getting started on Salesforce". Marcus experienced the growth trajectory of the startup TinderBox (an online sales proposal and contract automation company). Starting as the 25th employee, working as an Implementation Specialist and Project Manager as the company grew to 60 employees, Marcus understands the constantly changing and pivoting nature of the startup world. After going through a re-brand, CEO change, shift from SMB to Enterprise focus, and more at TinderBox (rebranded to Octiv), Octiv was acquired by Conga - the leader in document generation and contract lifecycle management in the Salesforce ecosystem. In that ever-changing journey, Marcus also held relevant positions as:
Enterprise Solutions Engineer (advising the largest companies in the world on how Conga products could help their digital business processes)
Partner Technical Architect (assisting partners to integrate with Octiv via API, responsible for enabling DocuSign sales team on the platform)
Salesforce Administrator (one of many hats at pre-acquisition Octiv)
Marcus holds multiple Conga product certifications, and brings on other team members as needed for any other expertise required by projects. Check out LinkedIn for more information on Marcus and his experience (and his involvement in an Indianapolis-based chocolate company!).
